There are a lot of arrangements to make before you leave for America. "Prepare to leave" covers everything from getting your visa and a medical exam to packing your things. If you take care of everything in these steps, you should be ready to leave without a problem.

Apply for Your Visa
Your passport lets you come into the U.S.; your visa lets you stay long enough to get your degree. Not everyone who applies for a visa gets one, we can help you improve your chances of getting yours.

Get a Medical Exam
You need immunization records or you won't be allowed to take classes. You'll also want to save money by getting an exam and any prescriptions before coming to America.

Get an International Driver's License
If you have a driver's license in your home country, you can drive in America. If you have an international driver's license, people in America can read it.

Book an Airline Ticket
Book your tickets well before you leave. The longer you know the date of your departure, the easier it will be to schedule activities during the last few months before you leave for America.

Arrange Short-term Housing and Airport Pick Up
You can stay in a hotel when you first arrive in America, but you will save money, frustration, and time if you arrange something better before you leave home.

Pack Your Things (Use This Checklist!)
You need to pack clothes, phone numbers, and your toothbrush. There are, of course, some other items, hard to find in America, that you'll want to include when you pack.
