Some of my recommendations for lunch places in downtown LA: 1. SaiSai: A decent Japanese food restaurant located in the downtown Baltimore Hotel. I wish I could find out how they make that special salad dressing... 2. California Pizza Kitchen : Located in Seventh Market Place. Check out www.cpk.com if you have never been there. Keep in mind that you probably have to wait 20-30 minutes outside... 3. Okada : On Seventh St. and Grand. This one is more family style Japanese food. I like their Ramen specials ^__^ 4. Turkey Basket: next to the Citbank building. My favorite over there is their hot pie special.
