There are quite a few good film schools in the U.S., and most of them are in Los Angeles (New York has some notable exceptions). Two that you may wanto to consider immediately are USC and UCLA. Both have top-tier programs, and many prominent directors studied in those programs. Unfortunately, film schools are rarely rated in the same way that more purely academic programs are. Your best bet, in my opinion, is to look into where your favorite directors went to film school. Those should be programs that will suit your stylistic interests. As a side note, I understand from an acquaintance of mine that Korean film companies thrive in Los Angeles, so there are many opportunities here. (My acquaintance works for a Korean film company.)
