With the disastrous dot com environments, a lot of fellow international students are risking being laid offs or going busted together with the company. The problem is international students must have an employee sponsoring them to legally stay in this country. If your company is experiencing financial difficulties, my suggestion will be try to look for a new job with stronger companies as soon as possible. The new immigration law allows us to change jobs immediately without waiting for 4 months for INS approval. Take advantage of this law and switch the job before it's too late.
